Just an update :o)

Ok, so I was really in the mood to do some blogging but got stuck! Decided to do a quick update just to keep me in the habit of writing otherwise I will just get really bad again (oops!).

Right, to start off with i got a new phone last week finally! Joined the Blackberry hype like everyone else seems to be doing at the moment. Haven't had any faults with it at all and I am absolutely in love with the little blighter! Everyone kept on telling me to get an iPhone but I really don't rate them at all because I think people are just paying for the name. ANYWAY! Ramble about my phone over (yawn).

I thought I would blog about my stunning holiday to Malaysia, but yet again I never got round to it because I am too lazy to ever turn my laptop on, so I thought i would just bung a bit about it on here instead (photos as well!). We flew from Heathrow to KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) and it took us 12 and a half hours to get there which was absolutely knackering sat on my arse for that long! Once we had got there we stayed at the Intercontinental in Kuala Lumpur for one night (which was lush might I add) and then flew to Lankawi airport the next ay which took us about 45 minutes which wasn't to bad. Whilst we were in Lankawi  we stayed at a beautiful hotel in the middle of the jungle which was incredible. We were staying in a cabin on stilts in the jungle and we always had to keep the patio doors and windows shut because monkeys can get in and open the mini fridge and open cans of coke and stuff! So we always had to be careful with that. The weather was stunning, hot everyday and well into the 30s which was absolutely spot on. Perfect tanning weather!

It can never be good when you're double parked and one of your drinks is green....

Mummy Bear and Myself

Our private beach

Some monkies in a tree as you do....

....another monkey in a tree....

....monkies on the board-walk to the beach!

The beautiful elephant Mum and I rode

One day my Mum and i went on an elephant ride which was the best ever! It was a small Indian elephant and it was absolutely beautiful. We rode into the the jungle and sort of did a loop round and then came back out again - we got to feed him a loaf of bread when we got back as well!

On the last day, me and my Dad went kayaking in the Indian ocean which was pretty spectacular. Amazing views of the island when we had paddled out away from the beach a bit. It genuinely looked so hot and steamy and it was one of the best things I did whilst we were there.

On the way home it took us roughly 13 and quater hours from KL to Heathrow an i was absolutely shattered yet again and all i had done was watch tele for 10 hours! I had some seriously square eyes from it afterwards!

One lats thing I just want to mention, is that everyone should follow this lovely lady!

Beth, A.K.A 'Fabulouslybritishbb' is an absolute babe and a half! Everyone should follow her on Youtube, Twitter and Tumblr because she is just the bomb (hope you are not embarrassed Beth - had to be said!). How could you resist?

Lambing Diary: Week 3

Sorry for being 'MIA'. Been very busy applying for jobs, college working an lambing. SO it's been absolutely manic at the moment so I thought I would do a quick update for those who read my blog!
I thought you might like to know about how I am getting on with lambing mainly - I was going to do my lambing diary from the first week I started but it was just so knackering I didn't get round to it. I'm in my third season of lambing at the farm i go to and have been going there since I was 16 years old. The man who owns the farm roughly runs about 4,000 breeding ewes and so far we have had 422 sets of twins and 92 singles. Some of them were triplets but if we get a single we usually take the third triplet and adopt it onto the single as sometimes the ewe cannot look after all 3 lambs or might have enough milk.

I usually get to the farm for 8am or earlier and start feeding round the shed straight away. Afterwards I will start bedding the pens down or fill water buckets (not necessarily in that order!). My next job is usually to start going round the shed numbering and ringing the tails (and nuts in the boys cases!) of the lambs I think are fit enough to be turned out into the fields. There are other odds and ends i do as well but those are the main things that get done during the day.

Well anyway, I'm off to bed now as I am back at work tomorrow morning and I'm in serious need of some peeps! Hope you enjoyed reading this and let me know if you would like me to write another lambing diary next weekend.
(These are some pictures taken by a friend of mine on the farm yesterday morning. Hope you enjoy them!)

New Skin Routine

So, i'm finally being grown-up and actually taking care of my skin properly and using fancy moisturiser regularly and everything! Mum got me the L'Oreal Triple Active Day Multi-Protection Moisturiser and also the L'Oreal Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover for Christmas and I've actually been using them properly for once in my more 'grown-up' years.
I never really bothered before now to use nice creams and removers because i'm always so knackered from being out and about on the farm and so on, so my face was lucky to get a quick smear of a baby wipe over it to get rid of make-up. I'm just lazy when it comes to this sort of thing! But now I have some nice quality products to use i'll definitely be making more of an effort.

L'Oreal Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover (Suitable for contact lense wearers)
£2.23
L'Oreal Triple Active Day Multi-Protection Moisturiser
£6.12

I must say, the Triple Active Day Moisturiser looks reem, smells reem, is reem. REEM! Haha! What a joker i am. But it is generally lovely and smells deelish. It's a light formula and soaks in quickly, leaving my skin feeling   as smooth as a new-born baby's!
As for the eye make-up remover, i'm very impressed as it near enough melts nearly all of my mascara and what-not off and doesn't irritate my eyes even though i'm a contact lense wearer. This was a big plus as I always get sore eyes after trying other products.
I was so impressed with both of these products, that when i was in Sainsburys i thought "what the hell?" and decided to treat myself to the matching cleanser and toner from the same range.

L'Oreal Triple Active Re-Nourish Cleansing Milk
£2.72 instead of £4.08
L'Oreal Triple Active Re-Nourish Velvety Toner
£2.72 instead of £4.08

Yet again i was impressed! Lovely quality, removes all traces of make-up and leaves my skin feeling lush. I went for the 'Dry & Sensitive Skin' formula as some other products make my skin flair up and go bright red! It is not a pretty sight and feels horrible - i look like a lobster.

So, for the actual routine.
I start by just splashing some warm water on my face, then take a small amount of the Cleansing Milk in my hand and massage into my skin until my whole face is covered.
After that, i take a cotton wool pad place a small amount of the Velvety toner onto it and then continue to remove the cleanser with it. Afterwards i splash my face with warm water again just to make sure all of the cleanser and toner has gone and then pat my face dry.
I then take the Triple Active Day moisturiser and apply all over my face (morning & evening). It soaks in so quickly!
All in all, i'm very impressed with all four products an would definitely recommend them! :o)

Much love!

This, that and winter sports.

So i'm driving my brother and i to young farmers winter sports on Sunday afternoon and we reach our destination only to find out that i'd got the wrong place and it was at another school about 20 minutes drive away. As you could imagine, i was not happy, and with only a quarter of tank of petrol i got somewhat irate
So off we trundle in my little blue Peugeot (who by the way, does not like going at any great speed as he starts to whistle and sound like he is about to explode) and arrived at the school at about 1.15pm. Baring in mind we were supposed to be there at 12pm, i got a little lost and took a bit of a detour which took about an hour....
Anyway! Enough of the journey. I'm told our club did well but we still haven't had the results so it hasn't been confirmed yet. We had 2 teams of 4 doing 'jump-rope' (in other words; skipping) and a team for indoor volleyball. I was on the girls skipping team and we had to do a proper little routine with a bit of dance - i use the word 'dance' very, very loosely - and music to go along with it. Well i can safely say it was an absolute scream! We did our routine to LMFAO - 'Sexy and i know it'.
The boys on the other hand, wasn't so..........put together. Two of them dressed in a chicken suit and a horse suit and started free-styling half way through because they were trying to kill time.

Stopping at rude sign in true Young Farmers style.
(Oh yes, there is a road called Bell End!)

IN OTHER NEWS!

I have come across a lovely girlie who goes by the name of Olivia a.k.a 'Dolly Daydream' . Very small world, and you should go to her blog and follow away!

Much love!

Candle-light dinner?

So it went quite well, apart from the ginormous mess I made of the kitchen....ANYWAY! The chocolate mousse looked yummy even though I did have to go through 12 eggs to get it right (I got the yolk in the white and it was not pretty, so I had throw it all up the garden and start again!)

As you can see, i'm not exactly an expert when it comes to preparing and cooking a meal (as seen with my brilliant carrot chopping skills - somewhat hap-hazard!) But slowly, it came together rather well. I managed not to cut myself or burn the the entire house down, and it has to be said, my spag-bol was rather yummy! (My little bro even said it was better than my Mum's - SCORE!!) Haha!

So it was all going swimmingly until i got the chocolate mousse out of the fridge. This is where I let myself down. I got it out to find that is was just a wine glass full of chocolate slop. So i'm like, seriously OMGing because i whisk the double cream up and add some Dissorono (which was the yummiest bit about pudding by the way) then put a blob on each of the mousses, and what does it do? Start to sink. Just my luck! I think i'm going to need some serious lessons on chocolate mousse-making from Mummy dearest.

Well the Mr liked it! Haha!

Much love!
